Anika noni rose is an American actress and vocalist. She is most famous for her performance as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog. Tiana was Disney's very first princess of African descent. Disney Legend was bestowed upon her in 2011. Rose was in the role of Lorrell Robertson, the character in Dreamgirls and was awarded the Academy Award. Anika Noni (born September 6th 7th, 1972) is a vocalist and American actor. She is best known for the role in the role of Tiana as Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, the very first African American Disney princess. She was recognized as an official Disney Legend in 2011. She was also recognized by her part on the screen in Dreamgirls (2006) that was awarded an Academy Award for Best Picture. On the Starz show Power she portrayed the character LaVerne Jukebox Ganner. Alongside her acting work, she's well-known for her roles performed in theater.
